Your privacy is protected because the browser extensions works locally, meaning that everything it needs to recognize a site as beeing a blog is done on your own computer, without contacting our servers or 3rd party services.
Filtrie servers automatically connect with your computer only to receive the data about the blogs you are reading. Everything else, such as news sites, home-banking services or your webmail will be completely ignored by our extension, wich will not log anything about those sites neither on your own computer nor at 3rd party servers. The information sent by the extension includes the page Url, how many seconds you spent on that page and other public information avaiable in the blog feed, such as the blog name, the post title and tags associated with that page.
(5) Questions, Comments, and Entries to Open Forums, Blogs and Reviews
Comments and entries to our blogs, forums and reviews are posted in real time. Consequently, your entire submission may appear in an open page. Please be aware that any personal information you include within this entry field will be available to the public.
